Guardians
Guardians will accompany veterans on their trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. Guardians will assist 2-3 veterans with individual needs (physical, medical, or whatever it takes) to ensure the veterans have a safe, memorable day. These volunteers will be responsible for the veterans from the moment they arrive until they are returned to their loved ones that evening. Each guardian will pay $325 to cover the cost for his/her trip.
Guardians are essential for the success of this program. They are the most fortunate of our volunteers because they will spend the most quality time with our heroes. Because the guardian is such a significant part of our program, a training session will be held prior to the scheduled flight.

Volunteer
Honor Flight Fayette is a volunteer program dedicated to honoring our Veterans. The only way we can provide the opportunity to fly our Heroes to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials dedicated in their honor is through volunteer support.
Volunteer positions include: being there in the morning to help send our heroes off and at the end of the trip to welcome them back, answering phones, entering data, mailing out materials, contacting veterans and guardians, making arrangements based on our projected flight schedules, etc.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact us and help us make these trips a reality. YOU can make a difference. You have a chance to say thank you to our Veterans. If you would like to volunteer, please click here to open and print an application.
